The new generation of SoundCam, acoustic cameras is called SoundCam Ultra 3.
SoundCam Ultra 3 pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved with a handheld acoustic camera in general troubleshooting, and not least search and documentation of leaks of electrical partial discharges.
Based on sound generated by, for example, a fault or leak, the SoundCam can display the sound in the video image in the clear touch screen of the SoundCam. This could be from audible sound or sound above the human hearing threshold – ultrasound.
Sound sources can be located and displayed instantly, in real time, and quite easily and quickly documented.
The new compressed air leak module can now locate and qualify the leaks, and as something new, it can now also quantify the size and expected cost of the localized leak.
The SoundCam Ultra 3 can be used in a very wide frequency range up to 100 kHz, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, such as locating compressed air leaks and electrical partial discharges or partial discharges.
With its compact, ergonomic design and low weight, the SoundCam Ultra 3 is an excellent measuring instrument, even in hard-to-reach places.
SoundCam Ultra consists of 176 microphones with a sampling rate of 200 kHz, an optical camera, an integrated data collection and analysis system, and a display and control unit with touchscreen and hardware buttons. The system displays high-resolution results on the screen in real time. The high speed and precision make the system particularly efficient, even in a very high frequency range up to 100 kHz.

SoundCam Ultra 3 includes leak detection modules which, in conjunction with the included reporting tool, make it easy to locate, calculate and work with leaks on compressed air systems.

The SoundCam Ultra 3 comes with an optional built-in infrared (IR) camera for heat detection and thermography.
